Paracord buddy

Making a paracord buddy is a great way to use up leftover paracord bits.

The paracord buddy serves as a way to use up paracord, as well as a neat keychain. Smaller buddies can be used as zipper pulls. As such they serve functional as well as decorative purposes.

I like how easy the paracord buddy is to make. All you need to know is how to do the cobra knot and you are qualified to make yourself this fun paracord companion.

There are many versions of the buddy, in this tutorial I will demonstrate how to make the most common one, the classic buddy!

You may have noticed that this site has a logo that features the paracord buddy. It is a well known creation that many if not most paracord crafters can appreciate.

For making the buddy you will need the following items:

  • paracord
  • scissors or knife to cut cord with
  • a lighter
  • a keyring if you are making a keychain buddy

That being said, let us see how the buddy is made.
